Sirius Teahouse

Hello everybody! Did you like my first post? Today we are going to explore an other hidden treasure of Budapest. My other favourite tea house is the sibling of Altair Teahouse, and it is not far from it. The address is 13 Bródy Sándor Street. If you are at National Museum entrance, this is the street which is at your left side. Just go through it, you can find it at your right side, not far from Gutenberg Square. Similar to Altair, there’s no trade-sign or anything, and you can find it in the keller of this building:

When you enter the door, you can feel yourself in a Turkish teahouse and in Narnia at the same time! There are cupboards which lead you to secret galleries, Turkish style sitting pillows on the floor and carpets on the ceiling, which are my favourites.

The staff, similar to Altair, is very kind and helpful. A jug of tea is also 770 HUF (between 2-3 Euros), you can find delicious black teas, green teas, rooibos and mate teas. But you can order cakes, sandwiches and water pipe, of course.

Hope you liked my post, see you next time!

Best wishes, Imre
